Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why it collects it, who handles it, how long it is kept, and how to ask us to see, correct, or delete it.
In short: this site collects only what you choose to send us through the consultation form or by email or telephone. We use it to respond to your inquiry and to run an engagement. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not run tracking or advertising cookies.
1. Who we are
This website, forensicpsychology.expert, is owned and operated by EXPERT WITNESS NETWORKS, Corp. (“Expert Witness Networks,” “we,” “us”). It presents the expert witness and forensic evaluation services of Andrew Mendonsa, Psy.D., MBA, who is retained through Expert Witness Networks. Expert Witness Networks is responsible for the personal information collected through this site.
2. Who this site is for
This site is intended for attorneys, insurers, employers, government agencies, courts, and other professionals seeking to retain an expert. It is not a patient portal and it does not provide treatment, and it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the consultation form, we collect what you enter: your name, law firm or organization, email address, telephone number, the type of matter, and the case summary you write. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to include.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, our web server records basic technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. Our spam filter checks form submissions for signs of automated abuse. We do not use analytics, advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking tools on this site.
Cookies. Ordinary visitors receive no tracking or advertising cookies. WordPress sets functional cookies only for site administrators who log in. Fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to send the font files to your browser.
Please do not send medical records, psychological test data, protected health information, or privileged material through the website form or by unsolicited email. Give us a short, non-identifying description of the matter. Records are exchanged only after an engagement is confirmed, through the method agreed in writing.
4. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange the no-charge introductory call.
- To check for conflicts of interest before an expert accepts a matter.
- To prepare and send the fee agreement and invoice, and to administer the engagement.
- To keep the business and tax records the law requires.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud, and misuse.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you made an inquiry.
5. Who handles it
We share personal information only with those who need it to do the work you asked for:
- The expert you are inquiring about, for conflict checks and to evaluate fit.
- Service providers who run the site and our email on our behalf: our web hosting provider, our transactional email delivery provider (which relays form messages to our office), and our business email provider. They may use the information only to provide those services.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, our experts, or others.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become engagements are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and to document conflict checks. Information connected to an engagement is kept for as long as the engagement lasts and afterward for the period required by law, professional obligations, and applicable record-retention rules. Server logs are rotated by our hosting provider.
7. How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are delivered by authenticated email to restricted business mailboxes. Access is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to any records we are legally required to keep. Depending on where you live, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Utah, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, to correct, to delete, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but we honor these requests from everyone regardless of where they live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
To make a request, call (877) 330-1495 or use the contact form. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the time the law allows.
9. Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including the Expert Witness Networks company site. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and the version posted here governs.
